INTERAMERICAN reports turnover increase and new Group Insurance policy contracts
The premiums of INTERAMERICAN’s Group Insurance notched a 7% increase as compared to the budget of its 2008 business plan, both in new business and its portfolio.
With a significant three-year yield (2006-2008) in group pension plans, amounting to 5.17%, the Company included 190 new companies in its Group Insurance portfolio in 2008, thus exceeding a total of 900 insured companies. During the same period, a total of 26 million Euros was paid out in claims to 61,000 policyholders with group insurance policies for Life, Health, Accidents and Pensions. Furthermore, following the extended acceptance of the new pioneering Medisystem Health plan, INTERAMERICAN is ready to promote its new Medisystem group policy plans to the business community, providing human resources with access to high quality health insurance at a reasonable cost considering the services provided.
According to the General Manager of Group Insurance and Corporate Business of INTERAMERICAN Mr. V. Thomopoulos’ statement, “During 2008, a truly difficult year for enterprises, due to the global financial crisis, it became clear that INTERAMERICAN was a first-class associate in the sector of Group Insurance as well, a fact that consolidates our Market position, while, also increasing our obligation for fulfilling our clients’ expectations”.
