Eureko Re is the competence centre in the field of reinsurance at Eureko. Eureko is a leading insurance group, operating in selected European markets.
Mission
Eureko Re wants to make a valuable contribution to the realization of the ambitions of Eureko by:
- Combining knowledge, services and activities in the field of reinsurance for the various parts of Eureko and their clients.
- Protecting Eureko against the negative effects of adverse claims experience.
- Supplying reinsurance instruments that will contribute to the responsible and effective use of capital.
Eureko Re gives substance to this mission on the basis of the internal reinsurer business model: Eureko Re takes over the reinsurance risks of the Eureko entities and retrocedes them, wholly or partially, to its reinsurance subsidiaries and/or to the reinsurance market.
As a reinsurer for external customers, Eureko Re offers independent technical analyses of insurance and reinsurance portfolios, as well as risk mitigation strategies to corporate clients and insurance companies. Based on those analyses, we are able to create innovative, tailor-made alternatives, combining risk-financing and risk-transfer solutions.
History
Eureko Re was formed by merging Achmea Re and Interpolis Re on 1st July 2006.
