Eureko Sigorta
An insurance company of 19 years standing in Turkey, it has its head office in Istanbul. Eureko has an 80% shareholding in this Non-Life insurer, as well as a 15% stake in its sister company, Garanti Emeklilik, which is a Life and Pensions business. A long-term agency agreement with Garanti Bank, covering both operating companies’ current and new business, means bank distribution is assured into the future. Its nation-wide distribution network provides access to hundreds of thousands of customers.
The acquisition of the business by Eureko in 2007 required a change of the company name. The company became Eureko Sigorta, which is the first instance of the Eureko name being used as a commercial brand.
Eureko Sigorta, enjoys a positive reputation in the Turkish insurance sector, with a primary aim to become a market leader. Its objective is to gain greater market penetration via the important agency and broker channels. Eureko Sigorta’s market share was 4,9 % in 2008 placing it among the top nine companies in the sector.
